About Eduardo Rivera
My work is shaped by a background that combines analytical thinking, academic research, and a long-standing interest in how people learn, decide, and grow. Early in my career, I realized how much clarity, emotional awareness, and effective communication matter in both personal and professional life — a realization that ultimately guided me toward coaching and human development.
I hold a PhD in Computer Science from the Universidad de Málaga, with a specialisation in modelling, as well as postgraduate training in software engineering, artificial intelligence, and developmental behavioural modelling. Alongside my academic career, I completed a Master’s degree in Life Coaching, a university diploma in Ericksonian hypnosis, and several specialised courses focused on communication, relationships, and self-knowledge. These studies allow me to combine structured, analytical thinking with a deep understanding of human interaction and behavioural change.
Before focusing on coaching and training, I spent years in academic and professional contexts where understanding complex systems, patterns, and processes was essential — from research in modelling languages and business process modelling to teaching and curriculum design at university level.
As a coach, clients often describe me as someone who creates a trusting environment, goes deeply into the coaching process, and combines insight with analytical clarity. I integrate these perspectives to support individuals and professionals who want to think more clearly about their situation, understand the factors shaping their decisions, and move forward in a grounded and sustainable way.
What Guides My Work
Purpose
My intention is to promote self-awareness, enabling individuals to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others, and to grow both personally and professionally. I support this growth by helping individuals develop self-knowledge, enhance their personal and professional skills, and achieve meaningful progress through coaching, training, and guidance.
Principles
The following principles shape how I work with clients and how I understand the coaching relationship:
- Self-awareness as the foundation for meaningful and lasting change
- Empathy and human connection, creating a safe and respectful space for reflection
- Clarity and focus when navigating complexity, decisions, and change
- Integrity and trust in every professional relationship
My role is not to provide answers, but to support clients in developing the clarity and awareness needed to make their own informed and sustainable decisions.
