Coaching Services

Individual coaching sessions last one hour or one and a half hours (by agreement) and can be held online or in person at your home in Marbella.

What makes these sessions unique is that, in addition to Coaching, I integrate Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and the innovative methodology of Developmental Behavioural Modelling (DBM).

I use coaching to support you in achieving your goals by guiding you through your personal development process without judgment. I listen actively and help you build awareness, self-knowledge, and confidence—primarily through structured, purposeful questions.

Because each person is unique, I use NLP and DBM to help you find solutions tailored specifically to you. This approach allows you to gain a deeper understanding of how you think, feel, and act, and to align these patterns with your personal goals.

Coaching

Coaching is a personal development process in which a coach works alongside you to help you achieve your goals. Throughout the process, I support you in recognizing your strengths, reducing potential limitations, aligning your desires with actions, and improving effectiveness in ways meaningful to you. By focusing on what you can influence, external obstacles often become more manageable.

Coaching is grounded in learning rather than teaching. Questions are the primary tool I use to help you develop awareness, self-knowledge, and confidence. Through this process, you learn to understand yourself in your daily life, exploring different perspectives and responses. This approach supports emotional regulation, activates personal resources, and enables the design of new behaviors and strategies to achieve your goals. All changes occur through decisions you make for yourself, fostering a sense of personal empowerment.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming Explanation

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) helps you understand how you think, feel, communicate, and act so that you can approach challenges and opportunities more effectively. NLP focuses on how we do things rather than why we do them. For example: If you fall into a river and don’t know how to swim, would you first focus on why you fell or on learning how to swim?

This principle aligns with coaching’s focus on future possibilities while also allowing past experiences to be addressed when they support better outcomes.

Unlike some traditional psychological approaches, NLP does not label or categorize people. It works with each individual’s unique experience of reality and helps you access and adjust your internal representations to make informed choices and take effective action. By learning to shift how you think and act, you can create meaningful change in your life.

NLP originated from the work of Richard Bandler and John Grinder, who studied leading therapists of the 1970s, including Virginia Satir, Fritz Perls, and Milton Erickson. It has since become one of the most widely used methodologies for personal and professional development.

Developmental Behavioural Modelling (DBM)

We all develop a personal model of the world based on our experiences. This model shapes how we interpret events and make decisions. We respond not to the world as it is, but to the world as we understand it.

Developmental Behavioural Modelling (DBM) is the formal study of these models and their application . It provides practical skills to identify the specific needs of a situation and create tailored responses rather than relying on pre-designed solutions.

Developed by researcher John McWhirter, DBM integrates effective approaches from therapy, education, and business with techniques from NLP, Ericksonian hypnotherapy, Gestalt therapy, and General Semantics . Framed within systems theory and cybernetics, it has been refined through over twenty years of application in social services, education, psychotherapy, and business.

For you, DBM offers tools to understand your behavior, recognize opportunities for change, and implement strategies that fit your unique circumstances.

Applications

Coaching helps you develop self-awareness, confidence, and responsibility while supporting the achievement of your goals. It is useful not only for navigating challenges but also for enhancing the skills and resources you already have.

Some common areas where coaching can be beneficial include:

  • Life organization: balancing different areas of life (work, relationships, friends, etc.), reorganizing after a breakup, and setting priorities.
  • Personal satisfaction: reducing frustration, learning from setbacks, navigating daily challenges, finding more meaning in life, and overcoming feelings of blockage, fear, or insecurity.
  • Communication and relationships: understanding how you relate to others, taking responsibility for your role in relationships, and learning to express emotions effectively.
  • Performance and skill development: enhancing personal resources, designing improved strategies and actions, and strengthening motivation.
